Thanks to those individuals who responded to me in e-mail regarding upgrading
the ATI VGA Wonder from 256K to 512K. Getting 41464 (64 by 4-bit, et. al.)
DRAM chips is trivial for me. There are two local distributors which stock
such an item and the Sharp XT laptops use them for main memory, so it's not an
'oddball' chip.
Looks like I have made my decision, next video card is an ATI VGA Wonder.
Thanks again, and my thanks to ATI for producing such a good product which so
many users stand behind.

The board looks identical to the vga wonder but the extra memory sockets have a 'Warranty void if removed" sticker on them. Is there a way to upgrade this board to a vga wonder? It would seem to me that I just need the BIOS chips from a vga wonder. ATI won't tell.
