Holy Cow! I just returned to reading my favorite netnews channel after a one month hiatus and I couldn't believe all the junk I had to wade thru. I must have 'n'd over 100 articles on STII without even reaching the end of June!! I'd have thought I was reading net.startrek if all the newsgroup headings didn't say net.movies. Luckily, these were broken up by occasional speculation on why E.T. glows red. What happened to the channel I knew and loved??? Come on - who really cares that Botanists on the Enterprise wear chartreuse patches and drive thought controlled roto-tillers. If anyone out there feels as I do let's do something about it. I think at least one or more (sub)groups should be formed. At least net.movies.fup for followup discussion or perhaps net.movies.stII, net.movies.et, etc. if a movie generates alot of articles. Please, if anyone out there agrees with me, let me know by mail. Bruce McLean eiss!bam

i disagree with new sub-groups for two reasons: a) most people read them all anyway, to catch that occasional good article b) is your terminal's 'n' key broken?
