I've been working on a piece of software that I would like to incorporate a serial mouse into. I would like to be able to map mouse movements into keystrokes by placing the proper codes into the input buffer. The keystroke codes (of course) will depend on the movements made with the mouse. Well, I have written some test software which successfully retrieves the information returned by the mouse. From what I can tell, each mouse movement (including button presses) returns three parameters. I know that in a typical rollerball mouse, the ball may control three wheels (three wheels -- three paramters --Hmm!!!). Anyway, can anyone offer some assistance in interpreting this movement information. Any direct assistance would be helpful, or if someone could point me towards the proper book -- that would be great too. Our news connection has been rather flakey lately, so please mail reponses directly -- but also feel free to post so those others that may be interested can also share in your knowlege. Thanks alot in advance, Kevin Kay wkay@hubcap.clemson.edu
