These machines are still highly useful in a utilitarian fashion.  I've got a
Model 16 with dual eight-inch floppy drives and an external 8MB (eight megabyte)
hard drive.  The hard drive is about the size of a mobile home but at least does
the job.  Also in the system is a Radio Shack Daisy Wheel II business printer.

The sole purpose for this machine for the next year will be word processing
(preparing a dissertation on it!).  This is just the kind of workhorse job
the Model II/12/16 was made for.  The SCRIPSIT program is a nice and
easy-to-use full-featured word processor.

This frees up my 286/20 AT for other more important things (LSL2, Flight
Simulator, etc.).
