I've just been given a half-length PC card from AST research called an 'I/O MINI II' which appears to have a DB-9 RS232 port and a DB-25 printer port. There are multiple jumpers (JP1..JP4) and dip switches (DSW1..DSW3) which are not labelled by function. Unfortunately, I have no docs for the board. Can anyone either: (1) give me a phone number that I can use to order more documentation -or- (2) send me some documentation Thanks for any help, Doug

[...] Doug: My I/O Mini II does not have DIP switches, only jumpers. However, it was made in '86, so the newer ones may be different. (We software engineers don't always see the newest stuff :-) My I/O Mini II has a clock/calendar, 1 standard RS-232 DB9, 1 parallel printer port (DB25), a second RS-232 accessible through a header connector and a game port accessible through a header connector. The factory configuration for a jumper only board (according to my old manual) is: 3 2 1 E1 [o o=o] CTS E2 [o o=o] DSR E3 [o o=o] DCD 3 2 1 E4 [o o=o] CTS o o means not jumpered, E5 [o o=o] DCD o=o means jumpered together E6 [o o=o] DSR 3 2 1 E7 [o o=o] E8 [o=o] 1st Serial=COM1 enabled E9 [o o] 2nd Serial=Com2 disabled E10 [o=o] Parallel=LPT1 enabled E11 [o o] Parallel=LPT2 disabled E12 [o=o] Game port enabled E13 [o=o] Clock-Calendar enabled E14 [o o] IRQ3 for COM2 (2nd serial port) disabled E15 [o o] IRQ3 for COM2 (1st serial port) disabled E16 [o=o] IRQ4 for COM1 enabled E17 [o=o] IRQ7 for parallel port (LPT) enabled E18 [o o] Reserved For more details, the AST Technical Support line is (714) 863-9991.
