Does anyone know anything about the Leading Edge Model D3? A local dealer is offering it for $997 and it seems too good to be true although the dealer is highly reputable. The system includes 80386 CPU 32 bit bus and registers 8/16 MHz software selectable, 0 wait 1MB 32-bit RAM, 100ns interleaved, expandable to 8MB on motherboard Phoenix 1988 BIOS Chips and Technologies chip set Shadow RAM BIOS and Video 1 1.2MB or 1.4MB floppy controller built-in on motherboard supports 2 drives 4 16-bit and 2 8-bit expansion slots 2 serial, 1 parallel ports 3 Half-height drive bays Clock/calendar w/battery backup 200 Watt power supply 101 Keyboard MS-DOS 3.3 and GW Basic 3.2 20 Month Warranty 16 x 16 x 6 size Monitor not included 30-day money back Options include Seagate drives with Western Digital Controlers, Goldstar VGA with Paradise Card. The salesman says that it will run OS/2, but I plan to add Xenix eventually. He didn't know if it will run Xenix. Does anyone know if this system will run Xenix? Are there any pros and cons that I should know about? Thanks for you help. ---------- Bob Fisher US Defense Logistics Agency Systems Automation Center DSAC-TSX, Box 1605, Columbus, OH 43216-5002 614-238-9071 (AV 850-9071) bfisher@dsac.dla.mil osu-cis!dsacg1!bfisher
