The Amstrad modem is cheaper by a factor of about two (at least in the UK) than any other 2400 baud (v22 bis) modem. What's the catch? How well does it work, what are the compromises, can you live with it etc... Please mail me (ex-igp@camcon.co.uk) and I'll summarise to the net.
