I need some recommendations for a good 386SX motherboard in terms of manufacturer and distributor/dealer (can be mail order). Here are my criteria: Expandable to 8 Mb (in SIMMs) LIM EMS 4.0 support in hardware Phoenix BIOS 8 slots (6 AT, 2 XT) Bus configurable at 8 or 16 MHz 80287 or 80387SX support 1 year (or longer) warranty NEAT Chip Set by Chips & Technology In a nut shell, I want a good quality board. Also, does anybody know if memory boards such as the AST RamPage Plus 286 has a problem with 386SX boards? I would like to put as much memory as possible in the machine since it will most likely be dedicated to SCO Xenix 386. I am willing to sacrifice the memory upgradability if an AST RamPage Plus 286 will work in a 386SX with NO problems at all. /*--------------------------------------------------------------------------* * Flames: /dev/null (on my Minix partition) *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* * ARPA : crash!pnet01!jca@nosc.mil * INET : jca@pnet01.cts.com * UUCP : {nosc ucsd hplabs!hd-sdd}!crash!pnet01!jca *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* * Apple Computer, Inc. is really the Anti-Christ! *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* * Note : My opinions are that...mine.
