Help! I recently installed a Seagate hard drive (ST-277R) into an XT clone running at 4.77 and 8 MHz using a Western Digital Controller (WD1002A-027X). This setup works fine, as long as I leave the turbo off. When the machine is running at 8 MHz, reads and writes to the hard drive are unreliable. Has anyone encountered this problem before? If I turn the turbo on after the file has been loaded, there is no problem, so there is nothing wrong generally with the turbo. Could the cause be in the BIOS? If so, is it possible to swap only the BIOS on a motherboard? Jeff Yu
