Has anybody noticed a problem with PKZIP (version 1.02) in regards to the freshen command (-f)? I recently tried to use the -f option to update a zipfile. One file that was changed ended up having the same number of bytes as the original file and was not updated! (the file date was different by approx. 2 weeks) I manually inserted the changed program into the zip file and went to reinstall the software on another hard disk. PKUNZIP would not unzip the file (using the -n option) beacause the same old file (same number of bytes, 2 weeks old) was in the directory. Does PKZIP/UNZIP purposely make the distinction that two files with the same name and size but different dates really are the same file? Is this a bug or a "feature"? If it is a feature, does anybody know how to disable it??? -- Scott Bostater GTRI/RAIL/RAD (Ga.
