Please excuse if this is the wrong group, but it's PC-related... :) In planning for the New Building, I've been asked to compute the power requirements of the dozen or so personal computers in my unit. I must have been asleep in physics class or wherever they talked at me about joules, watts, volts and amps, so the power ratings of the equipment don't mean much to me. How does one go about doing this? And how does one interpret terms like Inrush Current on devices like a UPS? I've spent my life just plugging these things in, and thankfully they always worked...
