I am trying to set a Paradise VGA Professional video card to one of it's higher resolution modes, 132 columns x 25 lines, using the supplied vgaprof.exe program. After exiting the program, the screen is set correctly, columns and lines, but there is a blinking square in the first and last column of each line. Two calls to their tech. support have resulted in "we will get back to you" ... that was a week ago. Has anyone seen this problem? Thanks in advance. -- Mark Regester Information Systems & Services, NCR Peripheral Products Division NCR:654-8340 <M.Regester@Wichita.NCR.COM> (316)636-8340 <{ece-csc,hubcap,gould,rtech}!ncrcae!ncrwic!m.regester> FAX:636-8889 <{sdcsvax,cbatt,dcdwest,nosc.ARPA,ihnp4}!ncr-sd!ncrwic!m.regester>

I haven't had that problem with the Vga Pro . Using the 132 x 25, or 132 x 43 line modes don't work with many programs, as you'd expect. And, even though I've patched Command.com to clear the screen to blue and white, doing a CLS in the higher text modes, results only in a black and white clear. I suspect that this is because the higher text modes are not standard. I haven't had to call tech support lately. They did call back when I had a question (before I bought the board)!
