[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Looking for information on an old Hard Drive...

goldman@timbuk.cray.com (Matt Goldman) (12/01/89)

Hello, I've got an old hard drive that I'm looking for information about.

Here is what I know...

AT&T label says...
	KS-23054, list 1
	36 megabyte drive

CDC label says
	MN BJ7D5-A
	PN 77731604
	SN 3071592R
	Lot 0-8439

It is either a 94448 CMD or a Wren I. Anyone know the good stuff, such
as
| CAP = CAPACITY IN FORMATTED MEGABYTES
| CYC = MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CYLINDER
| H = NUMBER OF DATA HEADS
| RWC = START REDUCED WRITE CURRENT
| IF IT'S = CYC + 1 THEN IT IS NOT USED
| WPC = START WRITE PRECOMP
| IF IT'S = CYC + 1 THEN IT IS NOT USED
| ENC = ENCODING METHOD R=RLL, M=MFM
| RATE = TRANSFER RATE IN MEGABITS/SEC
| ACCESS= AVERAGE ACCESS TIME
| SPT = SECTORS/TRACK X 512 bytes
