[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Ancient DOT PC

unhd (Roger Gonzalez ) (12/01/89)

We just dug up a bunch of 1983 MS-DOS machines made by DOT. We have
lots-o-manuals, but no disks. They have 3.5 inch drives (760K?) and
have a terminal mode (I'm using one as a "portable" terminal).
1) Any idea what MS-DOS will work to boot 'em up? I assume that an
   IBM DOS would crap out.
2) Could the drives be cannibalized and put into a real PC?
3) Why have I *never* heard of DOT?

Thanks
