I just got done watching a two hour special on television (channel
32 out of Chicago, an independent station) entitled "Leonard Nimoy's Star
Trek Special". I am assuming that this is a sydicated program, and would
guess that any station which airs "Star Trek" will be showing it sooner or
later. (I didn't see any promos for it though, so check your listings.)
Anyway, the first hour is filled up with Nimoy showing us some of
his favorite episodes, along with explanations of where stuff like the
"Vulcan Mind Meld", the "Vulcan Neck Pinch", the "Vulcan Death Grip", and
the "Vulcan Salute" came from (along with the first episodes in which they
appeared). He also discusses the possibilities of Spock still being alive
after Star Trek 2: The Revenge of Kahn. He never says yes or no, but says
to "wait and see. As Spock said, 'There are always possibilities'".
The second hour is filled with a run of the original episode which
prompted STII, "Space Seed". If you've never seen this episode, here's a
perfect chance (by the way, everyone was right, Chekov wasn't in it). All
in all, I'd say it was definitely worth watching (beats the hell outta "I
Love Lucy"!).

P.S. By the way, according to Nimoy, there was only *one* ending filmed for
STII.
