I want to use the newer style AT keyboard with the function keys across the top instead of the original AT keyboard with the functions keys on the left side. If I take one of the newer style and plug it in, it intermittently (no seeming pattern) goes into SHIFT (not CAPS) LOCK mode. Pressing the SHIFT key gets it back to normal mode for a while. It wrecks havoc with programs that use function keys and shifted function keys, as there is no indication that it has gone into this mode. Am I stuck using the old-style keyboard?
