I have a Paradise Professional 16-bit VGA card. It comes with a program to put it in mode 0x54, which is 132 columns x 43 rows However, it also puts annoying cursors on either side of any line that DOS prints. DOS also only uses the first 25 rows of the screen. I've tried to turn the extra cursors off by setting the cursor size to zero using int 0x10, but that only turns the regular cursor off. I also noticed that the regular cursor blinks at a different rate than the extra ones. Last night I wrote a program in C to set the screen to 132x43, and it still had the extra cursors, so I know it's not Paradise's program. Does anyone out there know: 1. How to get rid of the extra cursors 2. How to get DOS to use the extra rows Please respond via E-mail -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Randy Spangler | The less things change, the | | rspangle@jarthur.claremont.edu | more they remain the same | --------------------------------------------------------------------------
