The serial port on my Toshiba T3200 was recently blown by a zap of static from a hand touching the serial cable. It seems the 3 serial port drivers on the are ok, (I think), but of the 5 receivers 4 show 0 volts and 1 is stuck at 9.4 volts. I guess this one is probably the bad one. I recently fixed a similar problem in a full size PC by replacing the receiver/driver chips on the mother board, however, the 3200 is much more compact. Does anyone know where on the mother board the receivers reside and what code they might be? Thanx, Art Todesco att!ihlpf!alt
