[net.movies] The Jedi are coming

woody@sri-unix (09/01/82)

A small tidbit for those of you who await with bated breath
(as I do) the release of "The Revenge of the Jedi"--I ran across,
by chance, a PR publication from 20th Century Fox which announced
that it will be released in the latter days of May, 1983; some
artists' scenarios included showed that yes, indeed, everyone
is back, including the quick-frozen Han Solo and the mysteriously
evaporated Obiwan Kenobi (if you recall, nobody ever said he was
DEAD--he was merely gone when Vader's light saber sliced through
his--perhaps already?--empty robe).

The action will return to Tatooine (Luke's home planet), though
nothing was included to explain why. My guess is only that Moss
Eisley (sp?) appeared to be a major spaceport, judging from the
clientele in the cantina...and a port city on a largely deserted
planet could be a useful place to the rebels. After all, we've
had jungle and arctic bases; I guess it's time for desert now.

It was also announced that "The Empire Strikes Back" will be re-
released around Christmastime, with appropriate fanfare and some
more-detailed previews of "Revenge" attached.

I'd put my "pathname" on here
				except I haven't the slightest
idea what it is. I'm trusting
				this clever machine to figure
				it out for me.
