Thanks to all who responded to my problem of lost characters at 9600bps
on a PS/2 Model 60 with Procomm Plus operating within Desqview.  I am
also using an Intel Aboveboard.

Solutions offered included "tuning" the clock ticks (12 foreground/9
background was suggested), using the software and hardware "handshake"
protocols, and changing to a different communications program.  In fact
the last solution was the only one that worked.  It seems that Procomm
Plus cannot handle the FIFO which is used in the PS/2 Model 60.  Qmodem
will, however, and I have found that it completely solves the lost
character problem.  I have not totally given up on Procomm Plus, as I
have grown to like it.  Maybe Datastorm can come up with a solution.
