Hi all; I just bought a 386 machine that came with an ESDI disk controller and two floppy drives (one 5 1/4 and one 3 1/2). I want to install a low density floppy drive from my old XT. Since the ESDI controller card allows one to install only two floppy drives, I am done with it. But I also have a floppy controller card that I used with my old machine, which doesnot have any jumper or switch that I can set for a second drive. Is there a way that I can install this floppy controller on my new machine? A second question: I want to install an internal modem (2400 bpi) on my new machine, which came with two com ports: com1 and com2. I set the i/o card such that com1 becomes com2 and com2 com3. And I set the internal modem to com1. When I tested the modem, it can send the signal out to the target machine, but the modem doesnot seem to repond. Is there any other thing to set to make my modem work properly. Any help on these will be appreciated. Thanks in advance Min
