woo@pioneer.arc.nasa.gov (Alex Woo RAC) (12/20/89)

Can someone send me information on YTERM, a terminal
emulator for IBM mainframes? Specifically, how do you
contact for buy it (if it costs something)?

Thanks.

YTERM was written at Yale University. I do not know exactly how you
would go about getting it, but any person affiliated with PSU (students,
faculty, staff etc) can get a copy free by signing a end-user license.
However, the IBM host must also support YTERM for it to fully function.
It can emulate a VT100, but if the host does not have the complimentary
software, you wont be able to do much with it.
Here is an address you can try for some information:

Yale University Computer Center
175 Whitney Av
PO BOX 2112 Yale Station
New Haven, CT 06520-2112

ATTN: Software Distribution

(That's straight from the YTERM User's guide)
I hope this gets you going.
