[comp.sys.ibm.pc] 1400LT memory expansion

gt1342a@prism.gatech.EDU (LEDUC) (01/01/90)

I have a Tandy 1400LT laptop, and I was wondering if anyone has increased the
memory for one yet, without using the ISA bus. It has 768K, presumably
512+256. I'd like to increase it to at least one meg. The system uses the
Microsoft RamDisk (it comes with DOS v3.20, which came with the system -
the ramdisk won't work with DOS 3.3x) which claims that it does not work
without the Microsoft Extended Memory Manager, and also claims to only work
on a PC-AT. Well, this isn't, and it does. Does anyone own the larcenously
priced technical manual who could tell me anything? I'm interested in
adding as much memory as possible without sacrificing my single bus slot,
so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, C.LeDuc
