I see that John Dvorak is distributing Telix/SE with his book on Telecommunications. Is this a new version of Telix, the shareware package that's been around for a few years? It says it's free. Does this mean that registration is included, or just the disk, and you have to pay extra for registration? I suspect the latter, but if it's totally free, it may be worth getting, since I've heard good things about Telix. -- ---------------------------------------------------------- David Barnes UUCP: {pyramid,sri-unix,ingr}!apd!dbarnes 415/852-2365 USPS: Intergraph APD, 2400 Geng Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303 ----------------------------------------------------------

In this case, I believe what is being advertised is the Shareware Edition of Telix 3.12. I have the Shareware version of the program, which displays the Telix banner advertisment for about 30 seconds at the start of the program. According to Exis Inc., the registered version does not have this blurb, and cannot be distributed as the shareware version, since any disks sent from Exis have your registration number embedded in the code. -- Tim Bowser ("Strikemaster") | Standard | mailrus!sharkey!clmqt!strike Enterprise Information System | Disclaimer | strike@clmqt.marquette.Mi.US Marquette, Mi.
