I'm having a problem with sending larger ACAD plots to a LaserJet with 2.5 Meg of RAM. The laserjet is setup so that everybody in the building can access it via an RS232 interface. The printer has approximately 500K worth of softfonts loaded (Tmsrmn, Presentation, math, etc.) When a large ACAD drawing is sent to the laserjet, it totaly clears the softfonts even though there is enough RAM for both the fonts and the drawing! This requires me to re-load the soft fonts several times a day (which gets old *real* fast :-). The ACAD (verison 9.0) program is configured for a laserjet with 1.5+ MBytes so I would think that it wouldn't automatically delete all the soft-fonts when a file got too big. Has anybody had a similar problem or know how to correct it? I'm not the one using ACAD so I don't know how flexible the printer drivers are. I can send full page graphics from other software to the laserjet without killing the soft fonts, so I'm pretty sure the problem is with ACAD. -- Scott Bostater GTRI/RAIL/RAD (Ga.
