[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Replace PCDOS 2.11 with 3.3 - Any Problems?

miller@gvlv3.gvl.unisys.com (Bruce J. Miller) (01/07/90)

A friend would like to replace PCDOS 2.11 with PCDOS 3.3 on his older IBM XT.
Can this be done in the usual manner with the SYS and REPLACE commands?
Or must the hard drive be backed up and FDISK re-run because 3.3 is larger
than 2.11? Any comments and hands-on experience would be helpful. Either
email to me or post if you think it of general interest.
