May I recommend "My Favorite Year"? It is a very pleasant movie with a plausible--if actorish--premise, some interesting characters, and a great deal of polish. Peter O'Toole is very good, the girlfriend of the young lead looks like she is from 1954, and Joe Bologna (is that his name?) looks just like Sid Caesar. There are many laughs, no lengthy moral drawing, and thorough ensemble acting. There is a subplot that could have been cut (it doesn't resolve itself), but that is a minor flaw. I suspect that this may be one that we'll watch again and again to catch all the little in bits. Charles
