The idea is simple : BEFORE loading a TSR, you spent 2K of memory for a mark that will keep all parameters that can be modified by a TSR. Then, when you load the TSR, these parameters can be recovered and the TSR removed. You just have to remember the name of the mark, or use MAPMEM, included in the package to see the use of your memory. This is a smart package and is used everywhere.......
