A couple of weeks ago, someone posted a number of a bbs that contained the latest version of the logitech mouse driver. I think that this bbs was maintained by logitech? Anyway, I am currently running version 3.42 of their driver and I am having a few problems. Whenever I load the mouse.com program, and then my computer goes into graphics mode, my screen goes completely blank. This is not a useful feature for any of the mouse/graphics programs that I have. It forces me to resort to using the cursor keys. I am running on a 286 clone with a VEGA VGA graphics card. My mouse is a logitech 3 button mouse with version 3.42 of the driver (as I have mentioned). I am running DOS 4.01. I am hoping that the more current driver will avoid this problem. Does anyone have that phone number? Or any solutions to why my screen goes blank? Thanks in advance... Paul - Paul D. Walker - _ /| - Dalhousie U. The number for Logitech's BBS is 1-415-795-0408. The latest driver version (as far as I know) is 4.10. They had both .SYS and .COM versions up, along with several programs for MENU. This 4.10 driver version supports 50 line modes on a VGA (I never had graphics problems with the old 3.42 version.) It also has 'ballistic' mouse movement (move the mouse fast, and your movement are multiplied greatly, move slowly, and they are divided.) In a similar vein, is there any way to get updated versions of MENU and CLICK? All the 4.x versions give the capability of of removing them from memory. You can't do that with the 3.x versions. Also, I can no longer adjust the mouse sensitivity using the CTL-ALT-mousebutton routine. Andrew Rossmann andyross@ddsw1.MCS.COM

Last time I was on Logitech's BBS, mouse drivers but no click.exe were available. You may have to do an official upgrade of your software to get stuff other than mouse drivers. M Volow, VA Medical Center, Durham, NC 27705 mvolo@ecsvax.UUCP 919 286 0411

I've heard of many negative comment about Logitech, and how hard to call this company for a new mouse driver. To be fair with this company, I want to speak out my experience. Several months ago, I called Logitech for a new mouse driver. I didn't have trouble getting through the phone. A girl answered the phone. She asked me for the Serial NO. of the MouseWare Utilities Disk. Then she told me that I would receive the new mouse driver in two weeks. I did receive it after a week. I did not have any problem with this company. In fact, I like the mouse very much; it's a three button mouse (300dpi). It appears to be more sensative than the MS-mouse I see in school. Anyway, I got the number from the bottom of the package (glad I didn't throw it away) I suggest those who had a hard time getting through the phone try the number or address below. Logitech Inc. 6505 Kaiser Drive Fremont, CA 94555 Tel: (415)795-8500 Hope this help. Rick (Ka Chin Wong)
