I discovered two files in C:\ - EVDAT1.SYS and EVDAT2.SYS. Any idea as to what created them and what they are for? Brief background: I just bought up a 286 system, first under Digital Review's DR DOS. It had some problems (bugs), so I then upgraded to DOS 4.01. I ran FDISK and FORMAT on the disk, then restored from backup. Thus, the files could have been there from DR DOS, or could have been created by DOS. Either way, I yet have found no clues as to who created them and what they are for. They are, by the way, hidden files (makes no difference, I guess). Bill Gieske wg@cbnewsm
