There was some discussion on news.groups recently about splitting
comp.sys.ibm.pc into smaller groups.
This is not the first time the matter is discussed, but the subject always
seems do die out shortly after it starts, without even reaching the
"Call for discussion" stage - why ?
One of the ideas that appeared was to create comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware, to
separate all the hardware stuff from the rest. We already have a
comp.sys.mac.hardware group, so why not create the corresponding PC group ?
