hughes@silver.bacs.indiana.edu (larry hughes) asks about inexpensive
alternative drivers for Xerox Ventura Publisher and H.P. DeskJet printers.
I replied that you can purchase you can purchase HP Deskjet drivers
for Ventura Publisher from Digital Research. Many wrote me asking for
Digital's address or phone number. I got very busy and subsequently forgot
about finding the information. The recent discussion on Ventura has jogged
my memory and I now have the information you all want concerning other
printer drivers for Ventura.
Ventura's customer support can give you lists of 3rd party supported
printer drivers, and the supporting company's address, by calling
1-800-822-8221 (Texas time).
Digital Research's number is (408) 649-3896.
The company that produces the software that supports the HP DeskJet family
of printers for Ventura Publisher is Atech. They are here in San Diego and
their number is (619) 438-6883.
That should help a few people...Sorry I took so long to get the information
out.
