I was wondering if anyone knows of a screen-saver program for a clone running ms-dos that would be similar (if not duplicate) one I have seen for macs? The one I have seen shows what looks like fireworks being shot off every once in a while on the screen (after the computer has been idle for a preset amount of time). I have one (called Cruise Control) that blanks the screen after a set amount of time (default is 30 minutes). The problem is that with a blank screen, I commonly forget that the computer is still on. If it would show something, it would be much nicer. Does anyone know of an FTP site that has a program similar to what I am after? If not, does anyone know where I could get the source for a program like this (pascal, assembly or C) so that I could modify one to do this? Any help would be appreciated. Pete -- Peter P. Although its not freeware, you might consider Version 3.0 of the Norton Commander (List Price $150, Upgrade Price $50). There Screen Saver has a random twinkling "starfield" to remind you that your monitor is still on, user selectable timeouts of 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes and an instant "off" mode activated by moving the cursor to the extreme upper right-hand corner of your display.
