Good Afternoon, I have a two-fold question for all of the netters here I have an IBM PC-XT clone with a late version of the DTK/ERSO bios, 640K, 20Mb Seagate HD with a generic controller, and a special floppy controller board that supports all 4 of the floppy disk formats (360K, 1.2M, 720K 3.5", and 1.44M 3.5"). I'm running MS-Dos 3.20. I bought a 1.4M 3.5" disk drive yesterday and installed it without incident. However, as expected, I can't read or write in 1.44Mb format. 720K format is fine, using DRIVPARM. 1. Is there a driver program for MS-Dos 3.2x that will allow me to use the 1.4M format? I need one for 3.2x because for some strange reason, I cannot format my Seagate for MS-Dos 3.3. My system will not boot from the hard drive. 2. Can somebody tell me why my system won't boot 3.3? I can boot from a floppy, but not the hard drive. Is there a fix for this bizarre behavior? Please E-mail to me, because of the large volume of this newsgroup, I don't have time to read it all every day. I will summarize to the net if there is general interest.
