[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Desqview won't leave my mouse alone!

arasmith@mathcs.emory.edu (David Arasmith) (01/19/90)

Here's the problem. I just got a Logitech mouse and it has with it all
those nice little menus for applications that previously didn't use a
mouse. I run Desqview virtually all the time so that I can keep an eye
on another machine while still getting stuff done. I have, to this point,
been unable to use the Logimenu fo Word Perfect while in Desqview. Desqview
always returns with the message "mouse driver not found". This could only
be because Desqview is jealous of other programs using the mouse since the
mouse driver is loaded upon booting.

I know that Desqview can selectively ignore the mouse depending on the
application because when a DOS 4 shell is running (on top of Desqview) it
owns the mouse (even changes the cursor). How can I make Desqview ignore
the mouse for WP?

Just to cover all the bases, I have pored over the Desqview manual and
tried everything they had to suggest. I know all the Logitech software is
being loaded upon boot since everything works fine OUTSIDE of Desqview.

Who knows what I should do? Who cares enough to email replies? If there
are lots of good suggestions and I'm not too busy being ridiculously
productive I will summarize to this group.

Isn't / a much better path separator than \?
