[comp.sys.ibm.pc] PCNX -- The Operating System

burkett@csd4.csd.uwm.edu (Edward W Burkett) (01/20/90)

Can anyone tell me something about an OS by WENDIN called PCNX ?

It is advertised as the "Personal Operating System for System Programers".
From what I understand it is a UNIX like, multiple user, operating system that
also allows users to run "well behaved" MSDOS programs.

I have been trying to find out what kind of memory requirements it has in
addition to its other features.

For example, does PCNX use EMS memory or swap to disk? If you run it on
a 286 can it use extended memory? If you run it on a 386 will it use all
available memory?

If anyone has heard of this BEAST ....... drop me a line.

Thanks.
