I've seem to have run into a problem running the 386 version of
MS Windows on a 386SX board. The 386 version of windows has it's own
ems memory manager. My 386SX mother board has a Chips and Technology
chip set which the ems driver is built into the hardware. If I try
to turn of the hardware driver my system hangs up when the rom
does the memory check. (It's running a AMI bois). When I enable the
hardware ems driver it causes the windows memory manager to crash.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so is there a known workaround?
The mother board is made by DataExpert Taiwan Corp.
Any info will be appreciated.
