Why can't my clone run ACAD on Hercules ?? everything have been tryed but i get
the same result - the screen look like a bad tv (running). only 1/6 of the
sceen is visible the rest is hiden by the 1/6 running over the sceen. i have
tryed 3 versions ( old ver's running whitout math pro.)

I have had problems that sound similar to this with an occasional program
which purports to support Hercules monochrome graphics cards. In my case
what I needed to do was to put the Herc card into "FULL" or "HALF" mode.
The power up default is "DIAG" mode, in which the card supposedly acts
exactly like the IBM monochrome card, and is the mode required to pass
successfully the IBM display diagnostics, according to the Herc documentation
I have seen. The problem is that an occasional program assumes that the
herc card is already in full or half mode, but often it is not.

Hercules provides a program with the card to put it into full or half mode.
They are also easy to write--I have one I wrote that I can mail you if you
get into a bind.

The other way around this problem (if that is in fact the problem you are
having) is to run some other program which puts the Herc card into graphics
mode BEFORE running ACAD. Most programs will put it into FULL mode before
trying to enter graphics mode, and then they usually leave it in FULL mode
when they exit, so you should then be able to try running ACAD. If this
is your problem, then it should work for you.

Hope this helps!
