[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Using your PC and printer as a typewriter

ppd491@leah.Albany.Edu (Peter P. Donohue) (02/02/90)

Lately, I have had the need to type forms and was wondering if there
is a way to use my computer to do this. I have an XT clone with an
Epson LQ1000 hooked up to it. I normally use PC-Write as my editor, and
the newest version does incorporate a typewriter mode, but it is not all
that helpful for filling out forms where the answers must fall within a
certain box. Tabbing and spacing are numbers that you enter in
PC-Write; the program doesn't move the print head to the position until
you actually start printing.
Does anyone know of a good shareware or public domain program that I
can get through anonymous ftp or from a software house that will help me
with this problem? Thanks.
