Can anyone tell me how to get a Seagate ST-251 and an ST-225
to co-exist happily with my WDX1 controller and a 10 Mhz XT (DTK)?
I have been told that the system can only remember one drive map
per controller, but I have been told that it is possible to 'fool'
the controller to allow two different maps.
There are no jumpers on the WDX1, and I purchased it at a swap meet
with no docs (never, never again!).
I have switched the terminating resistors around, changed the physical
order of the drives around to no avail. In any configuration, the 225
gives messages like "Track 0 bad. Disk is unusable". If I install the
225 alone, it works with no problems.
I hate to see a perfectly good drive just sitting on my desk...
