I'm rewriting an old communications program that was written a long time ago in Turbo Pascal. It uses PORT addressing to set up the communications port. I don't like port I/O, and so since I have MS C 5.1, I was thinking about trying the _bios_serialcom routines. I was hoping to just do a _COM_INIT, and the use _COM_SEND to drive the modem on COM2. This doesn't seem to be happening - the modem just doesn't respond. So, has anyone done this? Does anyone has a snipet of code to share?
