I would be interested in hearing peoples experiences with Netware for the Macintosh (from the PC perspective, server, workstation to printer, bridges, etc). We originally installed version 1.0 last summer and were met with limited success. Every time we booted the server we had about a 75% chance that the server would abend and die. We never did get the printer services vap to load. Around the first of the year we received an upgrade to version 1.1 and rev C/D of Netware. The vaps still abend most of the time and when they do load, the printer services are pretty shaky (from the PC's). Has anyone ran the Appletalk gateway from a bridge? I've tried this too with no success. Is this just a bad product? Version 1.0 was admitted by Novell to be very buggy. I don't see that version 1.1 has improved upon it at all. -- Rick Odeen ...!rutgers!umn-cs!buddha!rodeen Nutrition Coordinating Center rodeen@buddha.ncc.umn.edu University of Minnesota AT&T: +1 612 627 4884
