I have a collection of Pascal games for kids I picked up along the way, in- cluding the source. This, coupled with Borland's Turbo Pascal compiler, has enabled me to make a few minor modifications to the games from time to time. One thing I don't see a way to do in Pascal (version 4.0) is to access the joystick, to read movement or buttons pushed. Does anyone have some hints on how to do so? Can I knit some assembly language stuff in with the Pascal that will? (I noted that Pascal does have a facility to do this.) I AM NOT a Pascal programmer, and haven't done anything in assembler except in college. I AM a programmer, so I've got a running start at least. Any help would be appreciated. My kids will thank you do. Shooting animals in the shooting gallery using h, j, and k to move the gun and d or f to fire at them is not as natural as using a joystick. We all thank you in advance.
