This is a summary of responses to my recent request for videotex PC emulation software. Many thanks to those who send me the information: From: Mark D. Freedman <becker!contact!mdfreed@toronto.cx.mot.com> From: Jon Rodin <jar@cnd.hp.com> and Prof. John Bowes at Univ. of Washington, School of Comm. From: sumax!%polari From: canremote!bradley.grigor Sung K. Chung =========================================================================== From the 1988 PC Tech Journal Directory (note date) Norpak Corp. 10 Hearst Way Kanata, Ontario K2L 2P4 (613) 592-4164 TLX 053-4174 TVOntario was developing a fancy editor for NAPLPS, but it relied on a NORPAK decoder box. There were a few other hardware implementations - Sony had an MSDOS PC with NAPLPS built in, and I think Electrohome had a decoder box. I seem to recall something for the Tandy Colour Computer (software decoder). I thought that NAPLPS had died due to cost and lack of interest. -------------------- To receive the Minitel Videotex software free of charge you can contact: Minitel Services Company 2900 Westchester Ave. Suite 101 Purchase, NY 10577 914-694-6266 Fax: 914-694-6477 Ther is software available for: IBM Apple II MAC Commodore 64/128 -------------------- Several software packages are available in Canada to support Bell Canada's new ALEX videotex services.
