How is the woman in the movie "The Verdict" who gets involved with Paul Newman related to the other lawyer? Why does he give her a check? Is she paid to destract Paul from his research or was she his ex-wife and he is paying her alimony or is there another explanation? Please send responses to hou5e!nrb
