[comp.sys.ibm.pc] NCR 386SX PC

chris@lxn.chi.il.us (Christopher D. Orr) (02/13/90)

I have a couple of questions about this box that I was hoping some
knowledgeable NCR types would be able to answer:

1) What kind of DRAM does the NCR VGA card take. It appears that
normal DRAM chips are two pins short. What Gives???

2) There are only four (4) expansions slots in this box. Can I
assume that any 8/16 bit card will work fine in these?

3) Is there any expansion chassis available to increase the number of
expansion slots? Is there a system performance loss associated with
going this route ????

4) What expansion card would be recommended for this machine if I
want to be able to run UNIX or OS/2 ?? (There is currently 1MB in the
system).
