Hello A friend of mine has a Western Digital 95044 Hard drive, it's a 40 Meg possibly IDE (only one long card edge on the back, not the customary two) and he needs to find out the drive parameters for it. He's got a non-standard AT 1:1 controller for it as well and has been using it quite successfully for the last month with a Phoenix BIOS drive # of 17 (977 cyl, 5 heads, wr-precomp 300 etc).. His problem is that ECC does not seem to work (read and write long BIOS commands give an error) and he wants to know if this is because he doesn't know the correct drive parms or because his controller doesn't support this feature.
