Can anyone recommend a good reference/tutorial book on using debug?

Not looking for anything too spectacular, but it would be nice to have
a better understanding of what I am doing when access other ROM
when formatting hard drives, and what else might be possible using debug.

thanks

i have a copy of PC Magazine's DOS Power
Tools , which i bought for other reasons , but which does contain the
most thorough and readable explaination of DEBUG that i have seen .

The only book that I've seen that covers debug in any detail at all is _PC
Magazine DOS Power Tools_, published last year for $44.95 (US). It devotes
more than 100 pages to debug, covering all the commands and giving lots of
sample programs. As DOS books go, it's a bit pricey, but it's better than 1200
pages thick, with a disk with a bunch of small DOS utilities. I'd say it's
worth buying for most people who are interested in more than just the basics
(copying, deleting, etc.) of DOS --- there's a lot of good info here. ISBN is
0-553-34701-2, and it says on the back "in Canada $54.95" so I would assume you
could find a copy there.
