[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Math Coprocessor emulators

fredex@cg-atla.UUCP (Fred Smith) (12/19/89)

Several weeks ago I posted that I had a couple of 8087 emulators for
286 and 386 machines and that I would be willing to mail them to the TWO
people who had been recently requesitng such things.

Well, the response was overwhelming! I have received literally dozens
of requests and have had to stop mailing them out, to avoid driving my
employer broke for telephone costs.

I have forwarded them to Ralf Brown who kindly offered to upload them to
simtel20. I have just received confirmation from Keith Peterson that he
has them and has uploaded them into the MSDOS directories. I expect that
you will soon see a posting here to that effect.

Sorry I have not been able to mail them to all you people who need them,
but now you will be able to get them from simtel20.

Good luck!

I certainly appreciate your efforts to bring to the general public these
programs and I will be looking for them at simtel.

Now for a sligthly different thread:

Could anyone please inform me as to how these emulators work; how well
they work; how compatible they are; etc. etc....

I'm sure others would be interested too!

Many thanks!

I know that there were several requests for memory resident math coprocessor
emulators posted a few months ago, but I was unwise enough to not save them.

Does anyone have any public domain emulators that they would be willing to
send me (I could mail the person a disk, with a self addressed stamped
return envelope, if there are any takers)? Any information that anyone could
send me would be most welcome.

Many thanks,
Rusty
