  I saw "The Verdict" last night, and they had previews for the new Star
Wars movie, and it is definitely called "REVENGE of the Jedi". There seems
to have been a typo somewhere that is causing all the confusion. In a brochure
found in the lobby of the theatre advertising a $15 ripoff guaranteed ticket
to opening day, in bold letters it said "RETURN OF THE JEDI" but farther
down in the ad iut said "Revenge". On the screen preview, however, it definitely
said "REVENGE OF THE JEDI"

 I read in the paper that the name was to be changed to
RETURN of the Jedi instead of REVENGE, Lucas (I think
) I think had been planning this all along, the name
RETURN otJ was on the scripts, the reason he gave (I think,
I am recalling this all from memory) was it was just
another thing to keep it more secretive. They gave some
figure on how much it would cost to advertise the new
name and take away the old one.
